Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie looking for new nanny

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie looking for new nannyBrad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are splashing out $150,000 per annum on a new nanny for their brood.

The couple—who raise six children: Maddox, 9; Pax, 7; Zahara, 6; Shiloh, 4; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 2—are looking for a new full-time carer for their kids.

The nanny will travel with them through California and New Orleans in the U.S., France, as well as other film locations around the world.

A degree in education or child development is essential for the role.

Brad and Angelina are also demanding that the nanny speak at least two different languages, as well as the native tongue of their children.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: "It's a coveted position. Brad and Angelina'srequirements are justified—they only want the best for their kids.

"The pay packet and lifestyle make it a pretty amazing deal.

"Not only have Brad and Angelina got to be able to trust the nanny completely with the kids but the new carer must also respect the family's privacy."

Brad's parents, Bill and Jane, recently moved into the family's Chateau Miraval estate in France to help the couple raise their large brood.

A source explained: "The whole family is going to move there as soon as the renovations are done. At the moment, they have six nannies—one for each of the kids—and the plan is to get rid of the helpers and rely on Bill and Jane.

"The annex they will live in is an old building which used to be used as a dovecote.

"It's big enough to have a sitting room, kitchen and a couple of bedrooms. It will make a lovely little cottage for them."

The stunning actress has been dating the baseball star for around a year, and the sportsman is now ready to make things official after being introduced to her mother Billie.

A source said: "Alex is very loving toward Cameron and protective of her. She loves that he's such a family man."

According to America's InTouch magazine, the sportsman—who has introduced Cameron to his two children, Natasha, six, and three-year-old Ella, from his marriage to Cynthia Scurtis—has been shopping for an engagement ring at upmarket New York jewellers' shops.

Cameron proved her commitment to Alex and his daughters by recently moving to Miami to be closer to them.

Although she may now be considering marriage, the 38-year-old beauty has previously claimed she is in no rush to settle down.

When quizzed about her thoughts on marriage and children, Cameron—who has dated a string of Hollywood hunks, including Justin Timberlake, Jared Leto, Matt Dillon—said:

"What about it? If I say, 'This is how I'm going to live my life,' I am closing myself off to all these other possibilities. I'm the kind of girl who likes to be open to every possibility, who is open to all my options."

Dwight Howard Earns Record Third Consecutive NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award

Dwight Howard is the 2011 NBA Defensive Player of the Year
Last year, Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard became the first player in NBA history to lead the league in blocked shots and rebounds in the same season twice – and for two seasons in a row.

Today, he was named as the NBA Defensive Player of the Year for the 2010-11 season to become the first player to win the award in three straight seasons.

Only Ben Wallace and Dikembe Mutombo has more with four awards each.

Dwight Howard is only 25 years old and will certainly earn more before his career is over barring any injuries.

Howard led the NBA with 66 double-doubles, including six 20-point/20-rebound efforts, while ranking second in rebounds (14.1 rpg) and fourth in blocks (2.38 bpg). He also was the defensive anchor of a team that was ranked fourth in the regular season, giving up 93.7 points per game to opponents.

Howard who was named a starter the 2011 NBA All-Star game last February received 585 points, including 114 first-place votes, from a panel of 120 sportswriters and broadcasters.

Voting was not even close as Boston’s Kevin Garnett who finished second only got 1 first-place vote and a total of 77 points. Players were awarded five points for each first-place vote, three points for each second-place vote and one point for each third-place vote received.

As the winner, Howard received a 2011 Kia Sorento crossover, which he promptly donated to the Beta Center in Orlando.

Here’s the man talking about being named the 2011 NBA Defensive Player of the Year:

Here’s his Top 10 Plays of the 2010-11 NBA season showing his defensive and offensive skills:

Maja Salvador Biography

Maja SalvadorMaja Salvador Profile
Born October 5, 1988- Maja Salvador is one of the latest in line of the illustrious show biz clan of the Salvador family. She is now making her own identity and mark as the Dance Princess of the Philippines and one of the most promising young actresses in the industry.
Name: Maja Ross Andres
Stage Name: Maja Salvador
Nick Name: Maja, Majang, Baby Maj, Totzki
Birthday: October 5, 1988
Age: 18 yrs. old
Zodiac: Libra
Siblings: Joseph, Jonjon, Bong, Luchi, Shyla, Jason, Marie, Kirby
Father’s Name: Ross Rival
Mother’s Name: Thelma Andres
School: San Benildo Integrated School / ABS-CBN Distance Learning Center
Hometown: Apari, Cagayan
Majah’s Biography:
There’s something about a teenaged girl aching for her long-lost dad that moves one’s heart. When ABS-CBN’s Charo Santos-Concio saw Maja Salvador pleading on nationwide TV for a glimpse of her dad Ross Rival, something in the girl’s angelic face tugged at the network executive’s heartstrings. Concio asked her staff to look for Maja.
Thus did Maja Salvador sign up with the Lopez network and was introduced as John Prats’ partner in It Might Be You last February.
Before that though, Lady Luck was working overtime for the 17-year-old girl from Aparri. Maja met Farrah Ramos, movie columnist-talent manager Chit Ramos’s daughter in a modeling workshop and they became fast friends. Little did Maja know their friendship will lead her, not only to a reunion with her dad, but to a promising career in showbiz, a field her father’s side of the family has been identified with for decades.
Maja confided to Chit that she had long wanted to see her dad, whom she last saw when she was only seven. Maja did not know Chit wrote about showbiz and never suspected her wishful thinking will come true.
To Maja’s surprise, Chit replied, “You want to see your dad? Let’s call Phillip (Salvador, Maja’s uncle).” Before Maja can say a word, Chit dialed Philip’s number on the cell phone and uncle and niece were talking.
The long-delayed father-daughter reunion – chronicled and aired on The Buzz – took place in the house of Ramon Salvador, Phillip’s older brother. As fate would have it, Concio was watching at that time, and that touching scene stuck in her mind. The rest, as they say, is history.
“I feel no bitterness toward my father, even if he and my mom separated when I was a baby. My mom said I won’t be here if it weren’t for him,” says Maja.
Besides, she has moved on herself. Maja is grateful to her Japanese stepdad for taking good care of her. It was her stepdad who, upon learning she was entering showbiz, came home from Japan, where he markets Toyotas, to buy Maja a van to take her around.
Maja is having the time of her life, never mind if she has to wake up early to make it to her classes in a school close to their home in Cainta at 7 a.m. Never mind, too, if unlike before, when she can go to malls in casual shorts, “I must look presentable because fans see me.”
She need not worry about her get-ups though. Navy/White Tops got her as image model. The brand’s pastel colors complement Maja’s young, carefree image, and its casual look, she adds, jibes with her love for things simple yet comfortable.
Her style has even caught the eye of Aga Muhlach and Janice de Belen’s son Igi Boy, who sent Maja flowers during a presscon.
“Maybe it’s his way of telling me I should feel at ease at that time,”Maja brushes away romantic ideas.

Iya Villania Biography

Raelene Elaine Ebaler VillanĆa (born June 29, 1986 in Australia), better known as Iya Villania, is a Filipina-Australian actress, host, singer and model.Mostly credited for being one of Philippines television’s most visible and prominent personalities, she shares hosting roles for notable TV shows like ASAP ’08U Can DanceWowoweeUs Girls and as a VJ for MYX music channel.
I . BIO
FULL NAME: Raelene Elaine Villania
SCREEN NAME: “Iya Villania”
NICK NAME: “Bubba” or “Len” to her family, “Rae” to her Highschool friends
BIRTHDATE: 29 June 1986
PLACE OF BIRTH: Australia
FAMILY: Dad is Ray, Mum is Ellen; Sisters: Rhoda and Sheila
NATIONALITY: Filipino
SCHOOLS ATTENDED:
Colegio San Agustin – 2nd to 4th Year High School
De La Salle University – AB Psychology (Sophomore)
II. More About Iya:
SHE’S A SPORTS BABE
The youngest of three sisters, she used to be a tomboyish girl, she loved playing “touch footy,” a less physically violent variation of the rough sport. “You just tag players instead of tackling them,” she explains. “But when unsupervised, we tend to tackle each other really hard.”
This is sort of CUTE:
Her name Iya is an anime character’s name. (Remember that Globe XTM Commercial?) Aside from her, she’d like to be Buttercup of The Powerpuff Girls. She’s cute and tough. Iya also loves Tigger and Cookie Monster.
Her CellPhone.
Unlike a lot of us Cell phone addicts,(ehem.) whom this ex-GJ used to send into a texting frenzy, Iya uses prepaid phone cards at an average of P300 a week- even two weeks or a month. “I don’t really use my cell phone that much. I don’t call people, they call me,” she jests.
Anyway, in case you want to know, she owns a Nokia 6600 and she changed the casing to pink one.
NoyPi!
Yes, ladies and gentlemen. Iya is a true blue Pinoy. Check this out: Filipino parents, Sydney upbringing, royal accent. Proud to be Pinoy she is-and flaunts it by trying to speak the brown man’s tongue. She can say, “nakakapagpabagabag” 5 times.
Thanks to the Karaoke
Influenced and inspired by his dad’s fondness for karaoke, at age seven she discovered her vocal chops from her My Way-singing dad. At 13, she has been doing front acts to Filipino big time singers and actors who would visit and perform in Australia every now and then.
Iya was only 13 when she was first spotted by talent manager Arnold Vegafria in a show co-produced by her mother. As Geneva Cruz’s opening act, she sang Donna Summer’s “Last Dance.” “He told me to get in touch with him if ever I decide to go to the Philippines and become a singer,” she remembers.
Hurray for everyone who loves karaoke!!! HURRAY!
“HELLER” – an expression spreading around like some contagious airborne virus these days, in the same way most new phrases take on strange lives of their own. It’s supposed to be another variation of “hello,” supposedly of the Australian persuasion.
Thanks to her Aussie twang. People are tracing its origins to our beloved Iya. When asked about how she feels about it, “I don’t really know,” (with that last word sounding like “neur”). “That’s just the way I say ‘hello.’ You know, I don’t even hear the ‘er.’ People come up to me and say ‘hel-ler.’ Well, I don’t like to think about it. I saw it coming. Anyway, I love that word.”
THE HOLY BIBLE
Her traditional Filipino upbringing in Sydney has turned her into a responsible young lass, a devout follower of the Seventh Day Baptist Church, in fact. “My strongest weapon is the Bible, which I had been taught to read as a child. We go to church on Saturdays and our Sabbath is from Friday to the sunset of Saturday. I have a strong relationship with God and I talk to Him always.”
I’m not a star!
Things weren’t as easy at first. She did a frightening amount of VTR tests, with not-so-encouraging results. She wasn’t getting hired, and it got to a point when she took the rejections personally, ‘What’s wrong with me?’
But thanks to the now defunct, GameChannel. Iya got her break being a Game Jock interacting with the players of the show. Few commercials followed and she was hired to play the role of ‘Sydney’ in GMA 7′s youth oriented show, Click.
Despite the attention and hellers, Iya doesn’t consider herself a star yet. “There’s so much competition, so many people better than me. I’m not the best. I’d like to think I’m still trying. Like, I’m still doing all those VTRs.”
About the accent.
Her accent isn’t something she’s conscious of. She said that, it’s the people around her who make her conscious. Iya speaks with an unapologetic Aussie accent and manages to make vowel endings sound like ‘er,’ or even ‘ewr.’ But she’s not about to drop any of that anytime soon. “My accent is part of me. Although I have been criticized for having a foreign accent, I’m not about to lose it. People just have to accept me for what I am.”

Singing Career

Due to numerous offerings and school loads, Villania’s singing career, her main reason for coming in the Philippines, had to take a backseat. In spite of this, she still was given the opportunity to demonstrate her talent on many occasions. In 2003, she front-acted for the American pop rock band Hanson. In 2005, she had a singing duet with Ogie Alcasid in his Valentine concert. Beside singing for most of her part in Footloose The Musical, she recorded “Almost Paradise” with Jay-R which became the carrier song for the musical’s album release. In 2006, in-line with her endorsement for Rose Online, she recorded the game’s carrier single “Good To Be Me” and performed it during the game’s official launching.

Vina Morales

Vina Morales (born Sharon Garcia Magdayao 17 October 1975, Bogo, Cebu, Philippines) is a Filipina actress of maternal Spanish and paternal Cebuano descent. She played the title role in the film The Sarah Balabagan Story. She is the older sister of teen actress Shaina Magdayao.
Even as a child growing up in Bogo, Cebu, Sharon Garcia Magdayao a.k.a.Vina Morales knew that she wanted to be a singer. It was nine-year-old Sharon’s singing with her church choir that would lead to her big break. The local parish priest, Fr. Fritz Malinao, was also a songwriter. He recognized Sharon’s talent and asked her to sing one of his compositions as an entry in the Cebu Pop Music Festival. The song, “Paglaum,” (“hope” in Visayan), not only won the Grand Prize but also earned the “Best Interpreter” award for its young singer.

Sharon and her family were surprised to learn that representatives from Viva Films had seen her performance. They were so impressed with her talents that they immediately offered her a singing and acting contract.
The Magdayao family was very supportive of their gifted daughter. They sold everything they had in Cebu and moved to Manila. The family entrusted ten-year-old Sharon’s career to Mina del Rosario of Viva Films, who became like a second mother to Sharon. It was Mina who gave Sharon the name Vina, taken from her daughter’s name Vina Vanesa.
The only problem standing in the way of Vina’s acting career was that she only spoke English and Bisaya. But now that she was living in Manila, her Tagalog improved rapidly and she soon made her first movie, Nakagapos na Puso, in which she played the niece of Tonton Gutierrez. The film also starred Vina’s idol and namesake, Sharon Cuneta.
In her late teens Vina Morales began taking on more mature roles. She appeared with Robin Padilla in Utol Kong Hoodlum. She starred with Ariel Rivera in Anghel Na Walang Langit. This was a dual role in which Vina played two lookalike young women with very different personalities.
One of Vina’s most challenging and controversial roles was that of Sarah Balabagan, the young Muslim domestic helper from Mindanao who killed her employer in United Arab Emirates after he raped her. For a while it seemed like The Sarah Balabagan Story might never be shown publicly, after the UAR government objected to the way Muslim life was depicted in some scenes. It was finally allowed to be shown and earned Vina three Best Actress nominations.
While Vina’s acting career flourished, she also kept up with her singing, continuing to record albums and perform in live concerts. Her latest album, released in March 2004, is a collection of love songs entitled Mamahalin Ka Niya. Vina co-wrote the lyrics of one song, “Paano Kaya Magtatagpo?”, with good friend Piolo Pascual. Their busy schedules did not allow them to meet in person, so they wrote the lyrics through texting! The music was then composed by Arnel de Pano. Later Vina and Piolo recorded the song as a duet. Other songs on the album include “Yakapin Mo Ako,” “Pangako” and “Saan Darating ang Umaga.” Vina had first sung “Yakapin Mo Ako” when portraying singer Joey Albert on the biographical TV series Maalaala Mo Kaya.
For the past couple of years Vina’s career as an international concert artist has really taken off big-time. In 2002 she had a series of shows with Martin Nievera in the US and Canada. She had her own successful mult-city US tour, “Vina Revealed,” in the summer of 2003 and is currently in the middle of another one called “Vina’s Hot!” Vina doesn’t just sing, she also does several high-energy dance numbers at each show, and makes sure to keep physically fit so she can keep up with the demands of such an exhausting schedule.
A special honor for Vina was being the first Filipino chosen to sing at the New York International Music Festival, which last year was held at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas. She performed five songs and got a long standing ovation. Vina still performs at home too, of course; she has a big show coming up at the Araneta on Independence Day 2004.
Vina has one career ambition that she has not yet realized: “I’d like to do theater,” she said in a recent interview. “I was offered to do a musical this year, and I hope it happens because I’ve always wanted to act on stage.” There can be little doubt that Vina will be just as successful in this new venture as she has been in all her other artistic achievements!
