Michael Jackson's children "pretty happy"

 

Michael Jackson's kids are "pretty happy."

The late singer fathered children Prince, 14, Paris, 13 and 'Blanket,' nine, and while they were homeschooled while he was alive, they are now adjusting to their lives without him.

A source said: "They are pretty happy kids now. Prince and Paris are going back to private this year. They love the social aspect of it. Paris really wants to be an actress. She loved taking acting classes."

However, Blanket continues to be shy and is schooled by himself at home.

The source added to People.com: "Blanket is still very, very shy. He's still homeschooled."

The three made a rare public appearance with their grandmother Katherine Jackson and aunt Latoya Jackson on Monday (August 8), where they attended a ceremony to donate some of Michael's artwork.

In total, 13 pieces of artwork created by the Thriller singer—who died from acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009—were given to the Los Angeles' Children's Hospital, including a picture of his icon Peter Pan and a drawing of his moonwalk, a dance move he was famous for.

American Idol judges all returning next season

  

Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, and Randy Jackson are all returning to American Idol.

The three judges—who appeared for the first time together on the show this year—have signed up to return for another season, according to the show's executive producer Nigel Lythgoe.

Speaking on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, he said: "I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of American Idol are back for the next season."

Ryan—who presents the singing talent show—confirmed auditions will be starting in the near future, but the three would not be seen on television until January.

In a series of tweets, he said: "Auditions with all three start in a couple wks.(sic)"

Asked when the show would be back, he said: "January. this show is a year long process!(sic)"#

It is believed both Jennifer—who recently split with husband Marc Anthony—and Aerosmith singer Steven have received substantial pay increases to stay on the show.

Last month Jennifer revealed she did not know if she would return and was "on the fence" about it.

She said: "I don't know. I haven't been forced to make a decision and I'm glad about that because, honestly, I'm very on the fence about it."

Jon Cryer: "Charlie Sheen's sacking was awful."

Jon Cryer believes Charlie Sheen's sacking from 'Two and a Half Men' was an "awful thing to be part of."

The 46-year-old actor—who starred alongside Charlie before he was removed from the show after a public spat with its creator Chuck Lorre and calling Jon a "troll"—did not enjoy watching the troubled star leave the show and was "surprised" by how it happened.

He said: "I never want to go through that again. It was an awful thing to be part of. I'm glad that some peace has come out of it. I was surprised with everything that went down."

Jon has now been joined by No Strings Attached star Ashton Kutcher on the show, and he reveals he has "worked hard" on the set of the comedy.

He added to the KLTA morning show in Los Angeles: "Ashton was amazing. He took the roof off the place. The man works hard for the money. It's a lovely vibe."

He refused to divulge how Charlie's character Charlie Harper dies in the show but added it was "funny."

The forthcoming season of Two and a Half Men featuring Ashton Kutcher comes to US TV screens on September 19.

Lea Michele nervous about meeting crush Taylor Lautner

Lea Michele was so nervous about meeting Taylor Lautner, she was "shaking."

The Glee actress met theTwilight Saga hunk for the first time at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's (HFPA) annual luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel yesterday (August 8) and worried he might think she was "crazy" when they posed for pictures.

She said: "I was shaking. I was so nervous. I was just shaking and shaking."

Speaking about posing for pictures together, she added: "I told him it was going to be our wedding picture. He is going to think I'm crazy."

Lea—who is best known for playing Rachel Berry in Glee—admitted she would love to see Taylor appear in the musical drama series.

She told E! News: "I love that. Let's make that happen."

However, Taylor is not so keen on the prospect, admitting his musical talents are limited.

He said: "I definitely can't sing. That would be a nightmare."

Another fan of Taylor, 19, is Mark Wahlberg, who admitted he is expecting the star to be taking on the roles previously offered to himself and Leonardo DiCaprio.

He told Leonardo: "I am sitting at a table with a gentleman who is better looking than you and is in better shape than me. So, we're both out of a job, dude. Taylor Lautner! We're screwed.

"It's over, dude. Titanic and Boogie Nights were a long time ago. I accept it. I had a good run and on to the next."

Taylor admitted he is overwhelmed by the praise he received.

He said: "I don't even know the word to describe being here. So odd. It's such an honor. I'm up on the stage and talking in front of people like that? The people that I looked up to my entire life? Hearing words like that from Mark and everybody — it's just really surreal."

Other stars at the event—which saw the HFPA hand over $1.6 million in financial aid to film schools and nonprofit organizations—included Gerard Butler, Kevin Bacon, Elisabeth Moss, and Hugh Dancy.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez reportedly split

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have reportedly called time on their relationship.

The Disney actress—who has been dating the "Baby" hitmaker since early this year—is said to have split from the 17-year-old singing sensation over concerns about his newfound bad boy pals.

In recent weeks, Justin has been hanging around with former child burglar turned rapper Sean Kingston, ex-convict Lil Wayne, and has collaborated on a new track with Chris Brown, who put his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in hospital after attacking her in 2009.

However, the final straw allegedly came when Justin brought Sean to one of the 19-year-old singer's concerts in Florida last week.

A friend of Selena said: "Selena told him to stop hanging with these bad people. She didn't want him to crash her gig.

"They had a huge row and said it was good they were having time apart while she was on tour."

However, Justin is said to have taken the split badly, and was spotted in tears after one of their arguments.

The pal added to The Sun newspaper: "It's hard seeing a little 17-year-old crying and saying he loves her."

Rowan "Mr. Bean" Atkinson crashes his supercar

Rowan Atkinson escaped with only a broken shoulder after crashing his £635,000 supercar.

The Mr. Bean star was driving back to his Northamptonshire home, in the English midlands last August 4 after a day at work editing his latest movieJohnny English Reborn. This is the sequel to the 2003 movie, Johnny English, which parodies the James Bond genre, when the accident occurred.

His agent Peter Bennett-Jones said: "He is shaken but not stirred.

"I think he was in pain and had some painkillers and stayed in hospital because obviously, he didn't have a car to get home. It is nothing more serious than that. He will be very rattled by the whole thing and I think he'll want to keep as low profile as possible."

The 56-year-old British actor was able to escape the McLaren F1 following the incident and waited patiently for emergency services to arrive at the scene.

He was discharged from Peterborough City Hospital yesterday afternoon (August 5).

This is the second time Rowan crashed the car, which he bought in 1997 following the success of his Mr. Bean film. In 1999, the supercar was involved in an accident with a Rover Metro.
