Born on 24 October 1981, in San Juan, Manila, Philippines, Vargas began his showbiz journey in 2001. Vargas just recently completed the assignment of hosting a reality TV series and if ready to create waves by taking on a new challenging role in the new GMA drama series ‘Muli’, which will be telecast during the afternoons.

A self-confessed basketball and badminton freak, Alfred Vargas has a body that not just entices but also invites a lot of ‘Oohs’ and ‘Aaahs’ from his female fans. A passionate person, Vargas likes to do everything he takes on with complete passion and dedication. Be it then, a commercial, a TV serial, or a Film. He just doesn’t compromise!

He appeared on the cover of a coffee-table book sponsored by Walker undergarments, and the title of the book says it all – ‘Sexier than Nude?’ Vargas looks blazingly hot and incredibly sexy in the cover pictorial and exudes raw sensuality.

But fashion for Vargas is not defined entirely by the current trends in the fashion world. He prefers to be comfortable while being stylish. So he usually dresses up in a shirt, jeans and sneakers. His fashion icons are Brad Pitt and Jude Law…!

When asked by a journalist why he entered the big bad world of entertainment, Vargas was quick to response that, ‘I love acting. And had I not become an actor I would have probably become an attorney.’ Most people consider the movie ‘Bridal Shower’, the sexy comedy, the turning point in this young model’s show biz career. His role as Joebert in Bridal Shower was highly appreciated by his fans. This role also helped him make new fans! His other movie credits include - ‘Hihintayin Kita sa Langit’, while TV shows he has acted in are ‘Daisy Siete’, ‘Love To Love’, ‘Encantadia’, and ‘Etheria’.

However, without a girl by his side as of now, Alfred is hopeful that one day his search for Miss Right will soon be over.
